WELCOME!!
I am a neuroscientist born and raised in the beautiful kingdom of ESwatini. My PhD project focused on tracing a specific cell lineage, Dbx1, during development of the Piriform Cortex (PC), and its contributions to the structure, cell subtype population, connectivity, and neurogenesis of the PC. This project brought insights about olfaction and heightened my interests in other brain structures and systems. I am currently doing my postdoc in Stellenbosch University; where I am studying male aggression, and its relationship with the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal (HPA) axis. I will be blogging, and sharing some of my thoughts on scientific articles I find interesting. Feel free to comment so we can discuss.
Oh! In case you were wondering, when I am not doing research, you will find me reading philosophy, writing short stories, or sweating it out at the gym.
